Privacy First: LinguaAI Pro is built on a fundamental principle: your data is yours. The app uses a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model, which means your conversations never pass through any intermediary servers. Your privacy isn't just protected; it's guaranteed by design.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LinguaAI Pro ("LinguaAI" or "the App") handles your information. Because the app uses a BYOK model, there is very little access to your data. This policy describes what is and isn't collected, how your data flows, and your rights.

What LinguaAI Doesn't Collect

Thanks to the BYOK architecture, LinguaAI does not collect, store, or have access to:

Your Conversations: All interactions with AI models go directly from your device to the AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.). LinguaAI never accesses your prompts or responses.
Your API Keys: Your API keys are stored securely in your device's keychain and are never transmitted to any external servers.
Your Personal Data: LinguaAI doesn't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information.
Usage Analytics: The app doesn't track how you use it, what models you use, or what prompts you create.
Device Information: LinguaAI doesn't collect information about your device, operating system, or location.

What May Be Collected

To provide basic app functionality, minimal non-identifying information may be collected:

Crash Reports (Optional)

If you opt in, crash reports may be sent to help identify and fix bugs. These reports contain technical information about the crash but do not include your conversations, API keys, or personal data. You can disable crash reporting in the app settings.

App Purchase Information

When you purchase LinguaAI Pro through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. A transaction receipt is received from Apple but payment details remain with Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs this transaction.

How Your Data Flows

Understanding how your data moves is key to understanding your privacy with LinguaAI:

Direct Connection to AI Providers

When you send a prompt to an AI model:

Your device retrieves your API key from the secure keychain
Your prompt is sent directly from your device to the AI provider's servers
The AI provider processes your request and sends the response back to your device
At no point does your data pass through LinguaAI's servers

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, the following data is stored in your personal iCloud account:

Your saved prompts and prompt library
Your personal styles and preferences
App settings and configurations

This data is encrypted and stored in your iCloud account only. LinguaAI cannot access your iCloud data. Apple's iCloud privacy policy applies to this data.

Third-Party AI Providers

When you use LinguaAI Pro, you directly interact with third-party AI providers. Each provider has its own privacy policy and data handling practices:

Children's Privacy

Your Rights

Because LinguaAI doesn't collect or store your personal data, there's no data to provide, correct, or delete. However, you have complete control over your data:

API Keys: You can add, change, or remove API keys at any time in the app settings
iCloud Data: You can disable iCloud sync and delete synced data from your iCloud account
App Data: You can delete the app and all its data at any time

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of any changes by the updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

International Users

LinguaAI Pro is available worldwide. Since your data goes directly to AI providers (not through any intermediary servers), the location of data processing depends on which AI provider you're using and their data center locations.
