The fastest way to use LinguaAI is with keyboard shortcuts. Each shortcut can be customized and assigned to a specific prompt:
Configure your shortcuts and their assigned prompts in LinguaAI settings. There are no default shortcuts - you create the ones that work for your workflow.
Click the LinguaAI icon in your menubar to access the full chat interface, manage prompts, switch models, and configure settings.
If you're running Windows applications through Parallels or another virtual machine, you may notice that LinguaAI's default three-key shortcuts don't trigger properly when the VM is in focus. This appears to be a limitation in how virtual machines handle keyboard input from macOS.
The workaround is simple: set your LinguaAI shortcuts to use only two keys instead of three. For example, instead of ⌃⌥T, try ⌃T or ⌥T. You can change your shortcuts in LinguaAI's Settings under Shortcuts.
Make sure your chosen two-key combination doesn't conflict with shortcuts in your Windows applications. Trados and MemoQ both use plenty of keyboard shortcuts, so you may need to experiment a bit to find combinations that work for your setup.

Your data never passes through any intermediary servers. API keys are stored securely in your device's keychain, and all AI requests go directly from your device to the AI provider. LinguaAI cannot access your prompts, conversations, or API keys.
